The Sureguard Scarecrow covers quite a wide area so, depending on your situation, you may only need one device.

If pests can enter via several areas then install Sureguard Scarecrows in each location.

If protecting a swimming pool you should install one or more Sureguard Scarecrow at either end to fully cover your pool.

If you have ducks in your pool then this is a must buy. It has been fantastic. Just wish I knew about the scarecrow a couple of years earlier.

Just magic. Easy setup and not a possum in sight since. Shall move it to the front garden for a night or two to scare of a marauding cat.

We purchased the scarecrow to keep cockatoos off our new planted garden beds. I would plant out a new area of garden - the cockatoos would notice and pull plants out, bite off flower heads etc. It was heartbreaking. We have installed scarecrow and it works brilliantly.

Before purchasing the scarecrow we tried everything; fake snakes, owls chopped chili and sprinkled it on the pavement but nothing stopped the birds until we installed the product - we are so excited, no more ducks and no more droppings!!!     Finally a solution !!!!
    After trying every remedy known to man to stop a cat using our backyard as its toilet the Scarecrow has proved the ultimate solution and deterrent to any stray cats. We'll done great product 5-stars *****

    Scarecrow Possum Deterrent
    We were on the verge of removing a particular tree from our garden as the possums had virtually destroyed it by eating all new growth and breaking small branches. The scarecrow worked a treat and immediately we noticed new growth and the return of lush foliage. The possums worked out that they could hide on the side away from the scarecrow due to the lush new growth so I installed a second scarecrow on the blind side. Problem solved!

    Ducks on Pool
    After trying many commercial and non-commercial devices to keep ducks off our 11 metre long pool at night I purchased 2 Scarecrows. After installing them it took a little experimentation to place them in the most effective positions but once I found the best locations the evidence of ducks reduced over 2 or 3 days until the pool stayed clear every night. Some other devices I had tried kept ducks away for a couple of weeks until they seemed to get used to the device and return. It's now been almost 4 weeks since I've had ducks so am hopeful that the more aggressive approach of the Scarecrow (spraying water) will keep them away for good. If it works long term the Scarecrow is worth every cent.

    We got this to deter this possum family that lives in our backyard. They've been nibbling away on our veggie garden but the Scarecrow motion sprinkler managed to deter them and some of the birds around too! (We also got to use it to prank our friends too! :P) Great device!

    Deer me!!
    We have had on-going problems with deer eating and destroying our roses. After not trying to grow roses for a few years, I got back into it this year and replanted with new roses. I found the Scarecrow solar-powered motion detector sprinkler online and it sounded great. I could build an equivalent system myself, but the time to design and test my own reliable system makes the SureGuard Scarecrow actually quite cheap. But does it deter deer and protect the roses? Hell yeah! The deer actually chewed the new buds before I got my Scarecrow installed, so they had a taste and were eager for more. Once the Scarecrow was installed, which took 5 mins, no more deer! I turned the tap off when we went on holidays in case a hose burst, and guess what - the deer chewed off all the new buds while we were away. Once I reconnected the hose, no more deer, except in one section that the current Scarecrow can't reach. So I'm buying another one immediately. Highly recommended. (It's also good for a laugh when the kids come over for dinner and accidentally activate the sensor going down the driveway at night!)

    Managing pigeons
    I live in a village where pigeons do immense harm on roofs, fouling drinking water which is collected in rainwater tanks. I have had some success placing spikes along ridge tops and netting around solar panels, but still had pigeons on an area of about 25 square metres, nearest to a neighbour who has dozens of pigeons. I installed a Sureguard on the recommendation of another neighbour and it has been a total success, so much so that three other neighbours have now shown interest, including the one who is 'breeding' the pigeons. It was easy to install (I replaced the plastic spike with a metal one welded to a plate that I screwed onto the roof) and it works a charm. I have only had it about 3 weeks, but so far the pigeons have shown no sign of getting used to it..

    Mixed success
    I had initial success against a flock of wood ducks flying in to swim in our pool and crap around the edges. However the spray only worked sometimes and to a limited distance so I bought a second unit to double my efforts and cover more ground. Unfortunately the inconsistency of the spray activation (for whatever reasons) means that the ducks have not yet been fully detered and I'm pursuing other options. The service from Sureguard has been great but sadly these ducks don't care about that!

    Product is great. We have had a lot of turkey issues and this appears to have solved the problem. Only comment I would make is that the plastic pole that it attaches to could be made of stronger plastic but still definitely worth the $$. The customer support is great and the person I spoke to on the phone couldn't have been more helpful. A really well run company

    This is an excellent product which works very well. We use it to keep possums away from our fruit trees and vegetables. We have three Sureguard sprayers. Previously we would often lose all of the plants overnight immediately after planting seedlings. This no longer happens. There is ample food elsewhere for the possums. The Sureguard is an excellent deterrent for unwanted vermin and therefore a great product.

    Cat deterrent
    Previously our front garden and drive way was a popular communal latrine for various neighbors cats. The installation of the Scarecrow has put a stop to visiting cats. But has also deterred annoying birds. This is the second model of Scarecrow I have used since 2014. Great work Sureguard and I highly recommended it’s use.

    Turkey moved away
    The Sureguard was easy to set up except the first spray faced me! The turkey visited a few times in the first week and now appears to have moved on. Has not been seen for 3 weeks now. So far so good.

    Very happy with my new ScareCrow and excellent customer service
    I had problem with cat poos in my front lawn and have tried all methods to deter the cat coming without success. I bought a cheap ScareCrow and it broke after a couple of days. This ScareCrow from Sureguard is very good in quality. It is working very well. So far since I start using the device there is no more cat poos on my lawn. The customer service is excellent.     They are doing the job on our brush turkey!
    I would definitely recommend the Sureguard scarecrow sprinkler. Get the optional aluminium stake if you have hard ground and keep the plastic one to bolster it at the rear. It has a bit of a kick back and it can work loose.

    Better value
    I bought a suteguard but I also found a similar product by a different manufacturer. The sureguard is much better made and has proved its worth. I had all kinds of breakdowns and poor performance from the other brand. Take my advice - rely on the Sure guard. That said I would like the spray burst to last about 50% to 75% longer on the sureguard. The success of the product at protecting our crops is however irrefutable. Strongly recommended!

    Ducks stay away

    Scarecrow is a ScarePossum
    We have installed the Scarecrow on our house roof here in the Adelaide Hills . They have been using our roof a to access and eat our Glory Vine which gives us beautiful shade I is summer. Not last summer though when the possums ate the young shoots every night so we had nothing! The Scarecrow is set up on the "Possum Highway" and works like a dream. First night it was going off what seemed like every five minutes with a thunderous rush of possums heading back into the trees. Each night we had few events and now the vine is shooting and we will have our shade again. Possums have had a change of diet which is fine and we get our shade and no possum poo on the roof as well.     NO MORE BRUSH TURKEYS
    Brilliant! After two years watching a nest 4m in diameter and 1.5m deep being built, no garden left, and about to build for a third year it was time for action. The Scarecrow has done the trick. Garden is regenerating. I am happy.
