The Sureguard Scarecrow covers quite a wide area so, depending on your situation, you may only need one device. Download the Owner's Guide for details.
If pests can enter via several areas then install Sureguard Scarecrows in each location.
If protecting a swimming pool you should install one or more Sureguard Scarecrow at either end to fully cover your pool.
- Sensor Left-Right Angular Range: 110 degrees.
- Sensor Range: Variable depending on the animal size and device set up. Large animals up to 9m, smaller up to 4m to 6m.
- Sprinkler Distance: Up to 10m (depends on water pressure).
- Water Usage: 2-3 cups per Activation.
- Water Pressure: Maximum 80psi or 0.6MPa. Minimum 30psi or 0.2MPa.
- Batteries: Two AA Alkaline for up to 12 months running time. (Batteries not included).
- Includes a built-in low battery indicator.

Just magic. Easy setup and not a possum in sight since. Shall move it to the front garden for a night or two to scare of a marauding cat.

We purchased the scarecrow to keep cockatoos off our new planted garden beds. I would plant out a new area of garden - the cockatoos would notice and pull plants out, bite off flower heads etc. It was heartbreaking. We have installed scarecrow and it works brilliantly.

This product is amazing!! Before purchasing the scarecrow we tried everything; fake snakes, owls chopped chili and sprinkled it on the pavement but nothing stopped the birds until we installed the product - we are so excited, no more ducks and no more droppings!!! Richard Lovett3+ years agoQualityI was so impressed with the first one that I bought another. The unit feels solid and well-built. It performs well (the neighbour's cats have stopped eating my seedlings) and I appreciate the range of adjustments. The 3 year warranty gave me confidence to spend the money on this rather than something cheap and nasty that wouldn't do the job.
Angela Wynen3+ years agoNo ducks!We have an annoying problem with ducks crapping in and around the pool, so we decided to give this a try as other deterrents did no work. It was easy to set up, it did leak a little but it wasn’t quite tight enough. Seems to be ok now. It also seems to be triggered randomly every now and then. The trickiest bit was working out the little angular adjustment clips. We have a large pool (11x6m) and placed the scarecrow at one corner where it can see the ducks coming over the back fence. The position also allows us to be able to enter to pool area and move behind without getting (too) wet- the trick is to walk slow! It has been a month now, and not a single duck. Not sure if they have been scared away or if they just haven’t stopped in. Either way is a good result. I recommend giving this a try.

I will be getting another one to daisy chain with, to cover the area needed now I know the efficiency of the scarecrow. Thorough instructions/ youtube that show quality & care behind the product. Lester Whiteway3+ years agoDoes not harm wildlifeIt is well made and is easy to install. My objective was to deter brush turkeys. I have not had problems with turkeys since installing it. That's great! The unit has many adjustments and can be adapted to many situations; eg, not spraying the postie when delivering the mail!! Also, it has been fun to play with!

Eric Beasant3+ years agoKeeps brush turkeys awayWe recently had an area of around 200m2 of new turf laid and the brush turkeys immediately started digging it all up. Nightmare as we were due to go away camping. We placed two of these, then chicken wire around the edges of the new turf. To be honest, we were resigned to loosing some of the lawn but were very pleased when we got home to see these totally work!! No turkey damage at all. Since being home, I’ve watched turkeys approach, then run for their lives when these are set off. Love it.
Patricia Brosnan3+ years agoKeep brush turkey away. Nothing else working so farSends out a good strong water stream. Hoping it will keep brush turkeys from my garden. I did have a bit of trouble assembling as I did not have tight enough joints but I managed to fix this.
Richard Lovett3+ years agoWell madeI love cats, but I don't love the neighbours cats crapping in my garden and eating my plants. The Sureguard keeps them out of my garden without hurting them. It's also well-made.
Damien Young3+ years agoThe ducks are gone!Within 10 minutes of setting this up, a duck landed in our pool. The duck approached from behind the Sureguard and when it came within the detection arc, the sprinkler fired and it was gone. After some fine tuning and setting water saving mode, I wouldn't be without it. This fixed a serious duck problem for us as our pool had become a toilet for two of them.

Liz Manson3+ years agoSaving my veggie garden!From the first day I put it in there has been no Bush Turkey activity in the garden and especially on the veggie bed that he was destroying. Tried all sort of other techniques previously but this is the only thing that works. Set up was simple and easy, took about 20 mins all up.
